"Continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard." Colossians 1:23 NIV
The above scripture says to continue in faith; which means to stay the course, to stand firm in pursuing a goal or course of action and to persevere in the face of whatever challenges or obstacles one may encounter.
Continuing in faith is not sitting still and doing nothing. As a Christian, you have to stay in the Word, unmoved, grounded and settled. The only way the devil can defeat you is to pressure you into throwing away the Word. Everything he does, every challenge he brings you is intended to make you doubt the Word of God. So don't let go of the Word, no matter what may happen, keep moving. Settle it with God in prayer and stay with it till the end.
Stay Praying, too often we try to find a quick fix to our problems by asking everyone else to pray for us. There's nothing wrong, of course, with having others pray for you, but you'll never get your life to a place of permanent victory until you begin to pray for yourself. Don't always depend on others to do your praying for you, depend on God, stay true to you and remain persistent.
