KEEP THE FAITH

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV

Before Paul's death, he admonished Timothy to ensure he carries out his duties. Paul told him three very important things he did; he said "I have fought the good fight", "I have finished the race" and "I have kept the faith".

How faithful are you? How do you keep the faith? The word for ‘keep’ means to manage, to guard, to look over. Some Christians bury their faith like the man with one talent (Matthew 25:24-25). Paul is telling us here that we must manage, guard and look over our Faith. Your Faithfulness to Christ is very important and being faithful now does not guarantee that you will finish well, but it puts you in the position to be able to do it. When you are not faithful now, finishing well becomes much harder for you later.

You have to put your faith to work always even when things around you seem unbearable and impossible. Whatever challenge you may be facing, it takes your faith to overcome it. Spend more time with God in the Word and in prayer.

Declare This: Heavenly Father, I will continue to spend more time in prayer and build up my faith consistently as a faithful servant of Your kingdom in Jesus name Amen.
